NCEDA Receives Top EDA Risk Rating for Revolving Loan Fund

STAPLES, MN – North Central Economic Development Association (NCEDA) has received an “A” Risk Rating from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) for its Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) program, reflecting strong financial management and program performance. EDA awarded the rating through its RLF Risk Analysis System, based on NCEDA's fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. NCEDA earned a total score of 27 points out of 30, placing the organization in the top risk rating category.

 

“This recognition reflects our commitment to responsible stewardship of federal resources and maintaining a strong lending program that supports business growth across our region,” said Stephanie Barney, Director of NCEDA. “An ‘A’ rating demonstrates that our Revolving Loan Fund is well-managed, financially sound, and positioned to continue helping businesses create jobs and invest in their communities.”

 

NCEDA's Revolving Loan Fund provides financing to businesses throughout north central Minnesota, helping fill funding gaps that encourage business expansion, job creation, and economic development.
